May Favourites

Hey everyone!

I want to talk about a few random things I have been loving all May, Not all beauty related so let me know how you feel about this! :)

TV

I have been seriously loving the Tv Show Revolution. It shows on Fridays on Sky 1HD at 9:00pm.     If you are a Sky customer click Here to watch online for free.
I am not the biggest Tv fan but i love the storyline! The lights went out around the world and the lead character Charlie has to look for her brother, She doesn't realise the severity of the situation and how heavily involved her family is until it is too late... DUN DUN DUNNNNNN

Food

I have been recently introduced to Gluten Free Bread and Rolls from Lidl.
My father was diagnosed as Coeliac just over a year ago and for a long time he baked his own bread as the Gluten free breads available were absolutely disgusting. He discovered this bread a few months ago and he loves it. In our house we all take one for the team and every meal cooked and provided by Eyelash is produced with my Dad in mind. I tasted the bread one day and oh my goodness it's sooo good!
The consistency is just perfect, it doesn't break away or go stale too quickly and the Rolls are just as tasty.
I am not Coeliac but i have an Intolerance to Yeasty products so I use this bread when i feel ill from too much real bread! Well worth the money. Check it out!

Music

May has been a great month for the muzzzaaakkk! There are so many genres of music that i have been loving but in particular I downloaded Lana Del Ray's album 'Born to Die'. It must have been a subconcious thing as the same day i downloaded her album, Twitter blew up with the Queen herself performing in Dublin. I love how ghoulish her voice sounds and her songs are so chill out and relaxes me completely! :)
My favourite song from the album is 'National Anthem'.

What are your favourites this month?

MUA Lipstick In Shade 3 Review

MUA Lipstick in Shade 3 €1.35 in Superdrug

Hey everyone! I paid a visit to Superdrug last week and picked up some gorgeous shades from my new favourite drug Store cosmetics brand! I love their products and you can't really beat them value wise!

I will do a full blog post on all the products i purchased over the next few days but had to share this find with you first as a sneak peak!

The shade No 3 is a beautiful colour. Magenta/ Fuschia colours are my absolute favourites and I am drawn to these colours like a pig to.... or even a magpie to silver...

I wore this colour to work today as i really wanted to put it to the test. I work in a call centre and spend the day on the phone so i was delighted to see this stayed on from about 8 Am until about 12Pm. Considering i ate my breakfast and Lunch it did fade somewhat but it was still visible when i re applied in the afternoon.

The texture is really creamy and a high shine. I am not one for shiny lips but it is not one bit sticky so i am happy enough to wear again! I teamed it up with Magenta Lip Liner from Mac and as you can see from the swatch below the colours compliment beautifully.

The closest Superdrug to me is in Santry, Dublin but i have been known to jump on the Aircoach to Belfast just to stock up.

Superdrug please open more stores in Dublin!!!!!

10 Facts about me :-)

Hi everyone! I am in the process of setting up my new laptop but wanted to share a quick blog post until then! Why not share a little more about me!

1: My birthday is June 2nd. Lucky me, I have never had to take the day off school for my birthday! It's the June bank holiday weekend!! Part of me envies those who were allowed a day off for their birthday!!

2: My feet are my most hated part of my body. It has taken a long time to feel ok about people seeing my feet!!! I have the weirdest tiny toes! My nickname is croquette!

3: I am obsessed with my doggies! I call my mam everyday so I can say hello to my little brother and sister! We treat them like our siblings!

4: I am the biggest weirdo when it comes to spoons and cutlery. I have to boil out everything before i use it. Many awkward moments in other people's houses but I just can't bear the thought of a spoon not washed properly!

5: I am a qualified Make up Artist. I spent 13 weeks in college learning the basics and have been practising on myself since!

6: My favourite thing to do to unwind is to turn on some music and read or sit in the bath catching up on YouTube videos!

7: I have an obsession with magazines. I have to hide them in my bags or leave in work! Every week, my favourite magazines are Grazia, Look, Closer, Vogue for the make up looks.

8: I recently moved to my own home and have found out I am a pretty good cook! Until now, aul Eyelash (mam) has  cooked all my meals!

9: I NEVER iron anything! We don't even own an iron! I just air dry clothes and let the creases fall out! Desperate times call for a ghd to remove creases.... I know. I am too lazy!

10: I hate horror and suspense thrillers. I actually sit there with a ball in my stomach throughout the movie and feel ill until I know it's over. Not even worth what I put myself through! I'm so lucky my boyfriend has no time for them either lol!!!

What about you guys? Any random facts you want to share?

Boots Haul

Hey everyone !!!

The other day i stopped by my local Boots, I have to stop myself before we go on.
I have an addiction...
.. Do you ever feel like when you step into a pharmacy or Boots and you just find your happy place? Seriously, I'll pass one and say without fail 'oh look, a XXXX(insert appropriate store name).. I love that shop'.. then 'Come on Gemma(sister) /Mam, We will go in for a minute..' and my heart will quicken because i  am excited to see what the specials are (bath products mainly). I feel the same connection to any Mac Counter.

Anyway, my excuse was that i needed make up wipes... But I had a mission, To just spend money. On anything. Thanks be to god i made some good choices and the total bill was only about €35.

Rimmel Salon Pro 313 Cocktail Passion €6.45 approx

Rimmel Cocktail passion with two coats and no top coat
These Salon Pro colours are so pretty. I noticed them about a month ago and so it has been on my wish list since.
I am not the most patient person with my nails so was delighted when the first coat dried within seconds. Second coat took about 2:30 minutes in total to dry but i love the finished look. The colour is so vibrant and i felt i didn't even need to bother with top coat so bigger bonus (I forgot to buy some).

The brush has been designed to make sure you give yourself the most precise salon style manicure.
Well worth the money spent and the shade range will see you through the whole year and bang on trend.
The most recent Met Gala Ball was themed as Punk Inspired so these colours would have fit right in! Love Rimmel - Always bang on trend.

Bourjois Délice de Poudre €7.50 (Reduced from €8.99 approx)

I have been eyeing this one up since I first heard Tanya Burr use this in a tutorial on YouTube agggeeesss ago! I will always remember her saying it smells like chocolate and she is right! I always think Bourjois is overpriced and absolutely loathe their shadows so hate spending money if it turns bust, but i have a great feeling about this one! Such a nice matte bronzer with a 'hint of sunshine'. I have been using the Sleek contour pallet but in Medium so dying for a new bronzer until i get to the UK to purchase more.

Soap & Glory Products - Flake Away €10, Heel Genius €10, Foam Call €11 approx

Soap & Glory, um um ummmm... Normally when i get any sort of scent from a body wash or cream I normally put straight back on shelf. I had the worst reaction to Gok Wan products and never want to experience that again! But I have been hearing so much about S&G and every month someone else is advocating the brand so i had to try for myself.

Let me just say first of all.. OH. My ... The Flake away scrub smells exactly the same as Miss Dior Cherie. It is amazing. Not to mention the fact it works just as well! My skin feels great!

The foot cream instrutions tell you to apply liberally before bed on clean feet and wear cotton socks. I applied after my bath (no socks) and even now sitting here my feet feel so soft. I love it!

Lastly the body wash. Peppermint, Grape seed, Fruit liquid Fig and Orange Waterjuice. Random combination but works. I prefer the pretty scents to be fair but I enjoy this one.

I can honestly say I am now an advocate for Soap and Glory. I will just say that it is one of the more expensive brands. Because i have used and loved three products I will be inclined to invest in the more expensive products but I know if your on a budget maybe put this on the 'For my birthday list'. Or even start off with the testers to see for yourself!

Thanks again for your time and i appreciate every view and any feedback to allow myself to improve.
I buy everything myself and all views are my own.

What do you guys think of the products i've purchased? Any favourites of your own popping up?

Today's look Sunday 19th May 2013

It's a beautiful day here in Dublin so I thought why not slap on some make up and go on a trip somewhere!

I started by using some of the L'Occitane Hydrating cream from this months Glossy Box. I am seriously loving that cream.
Next I applied some foundation. I wanted a natural look today so applied with my fingers. I love how it takes away all my redness!

Straight onto the bronzer and
I used my Contour brush from Real Techniques to bronze my temples, cheek bones and nose. I blended out with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Highlighted with Sleek highlighter in Medium.

For the eyes I used the highlighter all over lid and brow and used my Mac shadow for the crease.
I curled my lashes and used the jelly pong pong mascara. I wanted to give it another try after the flaking last night. I'm impressed with how it looks. It catches the lashes perfectly.

Lastly I brought the look together with a lovely pink blush from Maybelline and the Glossy Box lip gloss in raspberry.

I am excited to go out and relax in the sun. Right now I am typing with Ella my puppy in my arms!

What are you doing today? Is the weather nice where you are?
